Cultural Human is located in the Karbi Anglong district, specifically in the Parakhowa area along NH-36. It is a very green part of the country, and the highway is the main lifeline for everything that happens here. Our office is just a small building by the side of the road. It isn't very fancy, just some brick walls and a roof that we have to fix every few years after the monsoon. We don't have a big corporate team. It's just a few of us who are from this area. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals who stop by. The sound of trucks passing by on NH-36 is constant, and it can be quite loud during the day. We don't have any air conditioning, so we keep the windows open to let the breeze in. Sometimes birds fly inside and we have to chase them out. We don't have a lot of high-tech equipment, just a couple of old phones and a notebook where we keep track of things. It’s an honest way to work, and we feel connected to the land here. We aren't interested in big city life or corporate titles. We just want to do something useful for our community. The power can be a bit unreliable, so we have a few lanterns for when it gets dark early. It’s a simple life, but we are happy with what we have built here.
