Seujbon Small Tea Garden

Up here in Ganak Gaon, things move a lot slower than they do in the big towns. Seujbon Small Tea Garden is really just a part of the village life in Namti. We spend most of our time out among the bushes or sitting near the small shed where we keep the tools and the fresh leaves. It is quiet, mostly just the sound of the wind or someone calling out from a nearby house. Being a small garden means we do a lot of the work ourselves with our own hands. We do not have a big corporate office or anything like that. Our story is really just about the soil and the weather. When it rains, we wait it out. When the sun is out, we are working. The village is small enough that everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We take the tea leaves to the post office at Namti when they are ready to go. It is a humble way to make a living, but it feels right for this area. We have a few rows of tea that we have been looking after for years. Some days are harder than others, especially when the weather does not cooperate, but we just keep at it. It is just a small patch of green in Ganak Gaon that we call our own, and we are happy enough with that simple reality. We do not need much more than that.
