Shalom Exports

Shalom Exports is located at S-4 in the Industrial Estate in Cuncolim. This part of Salcete is pretty industrial, so there are always trucks moving around and the sound of machinery in the distance. Our space is more like a workshop than a fancy corporate office. We have high ceilings and concrete floors. When it rains, the sound on the metal roof is so loud we can hardly hear each other talk. It’s just part of being out here. We have a small area partitioned off for the desks and the computer, but most of the space is for the goods. There is usually a bit of dust around, no matter how much we sweep. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. The neighbors are all other small factories and warehouses, so we all know each other well enough. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some old photos and the necessary permits. It’s a practical environment where we focus on getting the exports ready. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit during the tea break to get some air. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it suits what we do. By the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired, but the work gets done and the trucks get loaded. It's a simple life out here in the estate.
