Jose Logistics is run out of House No. 151, which is right across from the Carmelite Monastery. It’s a pretty easy place to find because the monastery is such a big landmark in the area. We’ve been using this house as our base for a long time. It’s not your typical office building. It feels more like a home that happens to have a lot of logistical work going on inside. We have papers stacked on the dining table and maps on the walls. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking schedules. It gets a bit loud when everyone is talking at once, but that’s just how it goes. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably just see one of us leaning over a desk or grabbing a file. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a truck is late, we say it’s late. We don’t try to hide behind corporate excuses. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, except for when we have vehicles coming and going. We like the peace and quiet of being near the monastery. It’s a decent place to work. We’ve grown a bit over the years, but we still operate with the same small-scale mindset. We just want to get the jobs done and make sure everything gets where it needs to go.
