Damodar Enterprises

You can find Damodar Enterprises at Shop No. 4 in the Sfatorda area of Ambaji. It’s a small shop, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. Being in Shop No. 4 means we are right in the middle of things, and there is always someone walking by or popping their head in to say hello. The area has a nice feel to it, not too frantic like the bigger city centers, but still busy enough to keep us on our feet. We spend most of our time dealing with the daily tasks of running a small enterprise, which usually means a lot of list-making and phone calls. The shelves are packed and sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the routine inside and out. It can get a bit humid here, so we usually keep the door open to catch whatever breeze comes through. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the locals know us by name. It’s a practical way to make a living, and we don’t spend much time worrying about being fancy. We just focus on the work at hand and making sure the shop is opened up on time every morning. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the weather, but we just deal with it as it comes. It's a quiet life but it keeps us moving.
