Our place is over at H.No.273, right near the Anjaneya Swami Temple at Amareshwar Camp in Manvi. It is a good location because the temple is a landmark everyone knows. We are a group of fish farmers who came together to make the business a little less stressful. Fishing in this part of Manvi has its own set of challenges, from the heat to getting the water levels just right. We aren't some polished outfit; we are just guys who know how to handle a net and a boat. Most mornings, you can find us near the water, and then later we congregate near the temple to talk shop. The office is really just a place to keep our records and have a tea while we figure out the next day's plan. We don't use any marketing tricks because everyone around here already knows what we do. We help each other with transport and buying supplies in bulk so it’s cheaper for everyone. It is a very hands-on kind of life. Sometimes the fish don't grow as fast as we'd like, or the market prices drop, and we just have to sit and wait it out. That is just how it goes with farming. We are honest about the work and we don't pretend it is easier than it actually is. It’s just what we know.
