M/S Debasish Karmakar & Co.

M/S Debasish Karmakar & Co. is based out in the village of Monteswar. Our specific area is Loha, which has its own post office. We are located in the Purba Burdwan district. It’s a lot different out here than in the big cities. Things move a bit slower, and we know pretty much everyone who walks by our place. The business is run out of a simple building that fits in with the rest of the village. We don't have any big glass windows or air conditioning. It’s just a practical space where we handle our affairs. Some days it’s very quiet, and you can only hear the birds or the occasional tractor going by. Other days, when there’s a lot to do, the place gets quite busy with people coming in from the surrounding areas of Monteswar. We’ve lived and worked in Purba Burdwan all our lives, so we don't need a map to get around. The post office at Loha is just a short walk away. We handle everything ourselves, from the paperwork to the actual labor. It’s not a fancy company with a big board of directors. It’s just a family-run name that’s been around for a while. We do what we can and we try to be fair with everyone. That’s just how things are done here.
