Sagar Kirana Store

Sagar Kirana Store is based in Ravi Chamber over in Mansa Bazar. This is in the Malan area of Gandhinagar District. We’re quite close to the PM Patel Hospital, so we get a lot of people coming in who are either visiting someone or working at the hospital. The bazar is a lively place to be, and there’s always something happening right outside our door. Inside the store, we have all the usual stuff like spices, dal, rice, and those little things you always forget to buy until you run out. We keep it pretty simple here. The shop has that smell of open sacks of grain and various spices mixed together. It’s not a polished supermarket; it’s more of a traditional store where things are stacked up wherever they fit. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several people want different things at once and we’re trying to measure everything out accurately. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the stock and making sure everything stays fresh. The building itself, Ravi Chamber, is easy enough to find if you’re in the Mansa Bazar area. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that people know we’re here and that we’ve got what they need for their kitchens. It’s a busy life in the bazar, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We just keep serving the local community one bag at a time.
