Neeraj Gupta Architect

My office is on Mitwa Street, right off Water Works Road here in Mansa. I’ve been working as Neeraj Gupta Architect for some time now in this same spot. It’s a straightforward setup. I have my main desk, a couple of chairs for whoever stops by, and shelves full of old project files. Being on Water Works Road is convenient since everyone knows the way. The office doesn't have any big signs or bright lights. It’s just a place where I sit down and draw. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to say hello or ask a quick question about a wall they want to knock down. I don't mind. I like being part of the community here. The work is mostly about making sure houses and shops are built the right way. I don't use those complicated programs for everything; I still like to sketch things out by hand first. It feels more real that way. The floor is usually covered in paper scraps by the end of the day. I clean it up and start again the next morning. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady and I enjoy the process of seeing a drawing turn into a real building on a local street. It’s just me and the work most days, and that suits me fine. The overhead light flickers sometimes but I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. It keeps me awake.
