Jyoti Agri Bio-Tech

Jyoti Agri Bio-Tech is set up over at Plot Number 212. It’s a decent-sized plot where we handle our agri-tech stuff. We don't have a fancy street name, just the plot number in the estate. We’ve been working out of this space for quite a while now. Inside, it’s half office and half lab space, though it’s not as sterile as you might think. There are always soil samples and trays of seedlings sitting around. It gets a bit messy during the planting trials. My partner and I started this after finishing school. We do most of the testing ourselves. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, just some bricks and a tin roof in parts. We have a few local boys who help us with the manual labor. It’s quiet work for the most part, except when we have to run the pumps. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for results. Sometimes the weather doesn't play nice with our samples, but that's just part of the job. We don't really do marketing; people just find us through word of mouth. It's a simple setup. We spend our days checking growth rates and writing down numbers in old notebooks. It’s not a high-tech life, but it’s what we do. We’re usually there from early morning until the sun goes down. Most days we are just covered in dirt or water. We just keep plugging away at the work.
