Schurter Electronics (India) Pvt.Ltd. is based in the GIDC EPIP Zone. We take up Plots E-59, 60, and 61, so we have quite a bit of room for our manufacturing. Being in an industrial zone like this means we are surrounded by other factories. It’s a place where things are actually made, which we like. Our focus is on making electronic components that go into all kinds of devices. The factory floor is where most of the action happens. It’s filled with machines and people who know exactly how to use them. We don’t have a fancy corporate office with leather chairs. Instead, we have workbenches and testing equipment. The noise of the machines is constant, but you stop noticing it after a while. We have a lot of paperwork to keep track of because of all the different parts we produce. Our lunchroom is pretty basic, but it’s a good place to catch up with everyone. Sometimes we have to deal with the heat of the industrial park, but we just keep the fans going. We don't spend time on big marketing campaigns. We just make sure the components are built right and shipped out on time. It is a lot of hard work and attention to detail. We’ve been here for several years and have seen many changes in the zone. We just keep doing our part every day.
