K V Paints

Down here on Nilambur Road in Edakkara, things move at their own pace. We’ve got the shop set up right where people can find us easily when they’re heading through town. It’s a simple setup, really. Just racks of paint cans and brushes and whatever else people need for their houses. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most of our day is spent talking to locals who walk in with a specific project in mind. Sometimes the rain here makes everything a bit damp, and we have to keep the stock off the floor. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes around. We’ve got a small desk where we handle the bills, and there’s usually a radio playing in the background. It isn't a polished retail environment. You’ll see some open crates and maybe a bit of clutter in the back. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. It’s that kind of place. If we don’t have something, we just say so. We don't try to push people into buying things they don't need. It’s just about providing what’s available on the shelves. The road outside can get busy with motorcycles, but inside it’s mostly just the smell of fresh paint and us working through the inventory. It’s a plain, honest business in a small town. We just keep doing what we do and try to stay organized.
