Alumco Windows & Glazings

If you are walking past the bookstore near KP Tower, you might have seen our shop, Alumco Windows & Glazings. We are located right next to the GHSS in Pathanapuram, which means it gets pretty lively around here when school lets out. Being in Malappuram, specifically this part of Kozhikode, we see a lot of people coming through for various building needs. We mostly deal with glass and window frames, so our space is usually filled with glass sheets leaning against the walls and aluminum sections piled up in the corners. It’s not the quietest job, especially when we are cutting things to size, but we enjoy the rhythm of it. Most of us here grew up in the area, so we know the local climate and what kind of materials hold up best against the rain and heat. We don't have a big office or a reception desk. Usually, you’ll find us in the back working on a frame or talking to a customer about a repair. It’s a simple business. We focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the glass fits. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered with scraps, but that’s just part of the process. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and it feels like home. It’s just us doing our thing every day, trying to stay busy and keep the glass from breaking. It is just a normal local glass shop.
