Fracktal Works Pvt. Ltd. is up on the fourth floor of the Innovation Center at the Manipal Institute of Technology. Being inside a university campus gives the place a different feel than a regular industrial estate. There are always students walking around and a bit of an academic buzz in the air. Our space is filled with tools, prototypes, and a lot of half-finished projects. It can look a bit cluttered to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is. We spend our days tinkering with things and trying to make our ideas work. It’s not always easy, and there are plenty of failures before we get something right. The fourth floor gets a nice breeze sometimes, which is good when the machines have been running all day. We aren't a big corporation with a board of directors; we’re more of a group of people who like building things. Being at MIT Manipal means we’re surrounded by people who are learning, and that rubs off on us too. We don’t have a script for how we talk to people. We just tell it like it is. If a project is hard, we say it’s hard. We’re just here in the Innovation Center doing our best to create stuff that actually functions. It’s a lot of hard work and late nights, but it’s what we do. We like the challenge of making things from scratch every day.
