Manos Kumar Ghosh & Co.

Manos Kumar Ghosh & Co. is based in Mathurapur, over in the Manikchak area. Our place is near Lalbathani, and it's where we do all our business. It is a family-run kind of setup, nothing too complicated. We have been working in this part of the district for a long time. The office is small and usually smells like old paper and tea. We deal with a lot of local folks coming in for different supplies or just to talk about work they have going on. It’s a lot of back and forth, checking ledgers and making sure the orders are right. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when it's busy, but we always figure it out eventually. We don’t go for any of that corporate talk or fancy slogans. That’s not how we do things here. We just show up in the morning, open the gates, and see what needs doing. The roads around Manikchak can get a bit rough, so getting deliveries out can be a headache sometimes. We just take it day by day. My father started this and now we’re just keeping it going. It’s just honest work. We know most of our customers by their names because they live just down the road or in the next village over. It’s a quiet life mostly, just focused on the day-to-day tasks. If things go well, we go home tired but satisfied. That is really about all there is to us.
