Ullal General Hospital

Over here in Alake, things are a bit different than the main city center. Ullal General Hospital is tucked away on Kambla Cross Road. It’s a Mangalore neighborhood that feels more local than the big commercial areas. You won’t see the massive crowds of the mall here. Our building is at the 575003 pin code. We have been part of the local scenery for a long time now. People around here know the name well. It’s not a glitzy or modern setup. It is very practical. The corridors are clean but they show their age in certain spots. We have nurses who have worked here for years. They know the regulars by name and ask about their families. The morning shift starts with checking the patient charts. It can be very quiet some days and then suddenly everyone arrives at once. Kambla Cross is usually busy with scooters and those small delivery trucks. If you are looking for us, just head toward the Alake area. We aren't hard to find at all. The rooms are basic. We focus on getting people back on their feet. There’s a lot of paperwork every day, which nobody likes, but it’s just part of the job. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and the generator kicks in with a loud hum. That's just a typical day at Ullal General. We don't do much fancy talk. We just provide a place for folks to get checked out. It's a community thing, really.
