The London Street

We’re located inside the City Centre Mall on K S Rao Road in Mangalore. If you live in Mangalore, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times while doing your shopping. The London Street is just one of the spots in the mall where people can take a break. Being on K S Rao Road means we are right in the middle of the city’s main shopping district. It gets very humid here in Mangalore, so the air conditioning in the mall is a big draw for everyone. We see all kinds of people, from students hanging out after class to families spending their Sunday afternoon together. We don't put on any acts about being special. It’s just a place to come and sit. The mall environment is always a bit noisy with the music and the crowds, but we just go with the flow. Our staff are local folks who know the city well. We spend our shifts making sure the tables are wiped and the orders are right. Sometimes it’s a bit of a scramble when the mall gets packed on holidays, but we just handle it. It’s a straightforward job in a busy part of town. We don't have a big story to tell. We just open up when the mall opens and stay until the lights go down at night. That’s just life in Mangalore. We’re glad to be a small part of the local scene.
