Suvarna Clinic

Our clinic is up on the first floor of the SAN-FLO Complex in the Alake area. If you know where the Kudroli Temple is, we aren't far from there at all. Being on the first floor means people have to walk up the stairs, but it gets us away from the dust of the street. I’ve been working here for years, and I’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. The complex itself is a bit older now, but it’s a good location for a clinic. I spend my mornings getting the rooms ready and checking the medicine cabinets. It can get quite humid here in Alake, so we keep the fans going at full speed most of the day. We get a lot of people stopping in on their way to or from the temple. It’s a mix of everyone—young kids, parents, and the elderly. I usually have a stack of newspapers on the table for people to read while they wait. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they’re clean and that’s what matters. I like the view from the window; you can see the traffic moving towards the temple. We aren't a big operation, just a few of us making sure people get seen and helped. It’s a steady rhythm of work that fills up my week, and I’m used to the sounds of the neighborhood in this part of town.
