Srikanth Fine Arts

Srikanth Fine Arts is based out of Shaktinagar in Mangalore. We are quite close to the Canara Bank branch here. If you know that area, finding us isn’t hard. We spend our time working on different art projects and whatever else comes our way. It’s a creative space, so it often looks a bit messy with materials lying around. We don't mind the clutter though. It shows we are actually doing something. Shaktinagar is a nice part of town. It feels a bit more like a community than the busier parts of Mangalore. We’ve been here for a good bit now. Sometimes we have folks coming in to ask about what we’re making. We just explain what we’re up to and keep going. The light in the studio is usually pretty good during the day. We don't have a big corporate structure. It's just a few of us who enjoy the process of creating things. The 575016 area is where we call home. We keep things pretty simple. No big signs or flashy stuff. Just the work and the time we put into it. Sometimes the local kids stop by to look through the windows. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. We don't rush through the art because it takes as long as it takes. That’s just how we operate. We often have half-finished paintings leaning against the walls. The smell of paint and turpentine is always there. We don't really notice it anymore. Our brushes are well-used and sometimes we forget to wash them right away. It's a lived-in space. We don't mind the occasional spider web in the corners. It adds to the character of the place. We just want to keep making things as long as we can.
