Sri Durga Savayava Malige

If you find yourself in Kodialbail, you'll see the P V S Building easily enough. We are at number 555. It’s a solid building, and we've been tucked away here for a good bit of time. Sri Durga Savayava Malige is where we spend our hours, surrounded by the stuff we sell. The floors are a bit worn down from people walking in and out. We don’t have a lot of decorations. Instead, we have rows and rows of bins and bags. Every morning starts with moving things around to make more room. It feels like a puzzle sometimes. The light comes in through the front windows in the afternoon, which is nice when it’s not too hot. We talk to the other people in the building a lot during breaks. Everyone knows everyone else around here. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. We wear comfortable clothes because there is always a lot of lifting and reaching for the top shelves. Sometimes the tally at the end of the day takes longer than it should because we get to talking with a neighbor. That’s just how it goes in this part of town. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a shop in a busy building where we try to keep things organized and helpful for the people who stop in. Most days are pretty similar, but we like the familiarity of the place and the people we see.
