Over at Kmc Hospitals in Mangalore, specifically the Attavar location, is where you find the Dept of Radiodiagnosis. It’s a specific part of the hospital where all the scans and X-rays happen. The machines are big and they make those humming sounds all day long. It's tucked away in one part of the Attavarn building. People come down here with their slips of paper, waiting for their turn to go into the dark rooms. It’s a bit different from the rest of the hospital because it’s quieter, but also more technical. The technicians are always moving between the consoles and the patient beds. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and trying to make sure the images are clear. The lighting is a bit dim in some hallways, which is just how it is for this kind of work. Patients are often a bit nervous when they come in for a scan, so we try to just get them settled quickly. It’s a lot of "hold your breath" and "don't move" instructions throughout the shift. We’ve been operating in Attavar for quite a while now. The building is older but the equipment inside is what matters. It's just a busy department in a busy Mangalore hospital. We see people from all walks of life every single day. It’s just the routine we have here in the radiology wing. We work through the pile of scans and help the doctors figure out what is going on.
