We are located at 54/48 on Bejai Church Road. If you walk down the street in Bejai, you can usually smell the spices before you even see our sign. Jain Spices is a place where we spend a lot of time surrounded by bags of pepper, turmeric, and all sorts of other things. It’s a bit of a dusty job, and my clothes usually smell like cumin by the time I go home, but I don't mind it. We aren't a big factory; it’s more of a traditional setup where we handle everything ourselves. We spend hours sorting through the stock and making sure the quality is what it should be. The road outside can be busy, especially when there’s something going on at the church, but we have our own steady flow of people coming in. We don't do much in the way of big advertising or fancy packaging. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to us for years and know they can get a fair deal. Sometimes the equipment acts up and we have to spend the morning fixing it instead of grinding spices, which is frustrating, but it’s just part of the day. We just focus on the product and the people who buy it. It’s a simple life, really, just working with the spices and keeping the shop going on Bejai Church Road every day. We’ve been here long enough that it feels like second nature.
