Indiana Hospital

Indiana Hospital is right here in Mangalore. It’s a coastal city, so we deal with the heat and the humidity every day while we work. The hospital is a place where local folks come when they aren't feeling their best. It’s a busy building with a lot of different wings and floors. We don’t really go in for those polished corporate videos or anything like that. We’re just a local hospital trying to take care of the people in our community. You’ll see families sitting in the waiting areas and doctors rushing through the halls. It’s got that specific hospital smell—clean but also a bit heavy. We have people coming in from all over the Mangalore area, sometimes from the surrounding villages too. The staff here mostly speaks the local languages, and we try to make everyone feel okay even when they are worried about their health. It’s not always quiet, and sometimes it feels a bit chaotic when it’s a busy Monday morning, but we have a system that works. We focus on getting people treated and sent back home to their families. The canteen downstairs is always a bit crowded, but the tea is decent. We’ve been a part of the city for a while now, and we just keep doing what we do. It’s a lot of long shifts and tired feet, but that’s just how hospital life is. We’re just here for Mangalore.
