Crafts Boutique

You can find Crafts Boutique located at The Gate Way Hotel on Old Port Road. It’s a bit of a unique spot for us because we get a mix of people staying at the hotel and locals who are just passing through the area. Being on Old Port Road means we see a lot of the history of the place every day. The boutique itself isn’t huge, but it’s packed with various craft items that we’ve collected. We don’t have any fancy marketing slogans or a polished corporate look. It’s just a shop where we put out things that are made by hand. We spend a lot of our time rearranging the shelves and talking to visitors about where the different items come from. The hotel provides a nice backdrop, but we try to keep our shop feeling grounded and local. It’s a bit of a slower pace here compared to the busy markets, which gives us time to appreciate the work that goes into each piece. We don't have a big team running things. Usually, it's just one or two of us here making sure everything looks decent and answering questions. It’s a practical way to run a boutique. We enjoy the location and the people we meet along Old Port Road. It’s just a small business trying to keep traditional crafts available for anyone who might be interested while they are in town.
