Chethana Clinic

You can find Chethana Clinic on the first floor of the Sim Centere building in Kadri. We are right by the Malikatta Bus Stop, which is handy for people who don't have their own cars and use the public transport. It’s a pretty central spot in Mangalore for anyone living nearby. Being on the first floor means there are some stairs to climb, but most people are used to that in this particular building. The Sim Centere has various shops and small offices, so there’s always something going on around us throughout the day. We see a lot of regular faces who live in the Kadri area and stop by when they aren't feeling their best. The clinic itself is just a few rooms where we handle our daily work. It gets a little humid in the afternoons, like most places in Mangalore, so we keep the ceiling fans going all day long. There isn’t much in the way of decoration, just the basic chairs and tables that you need for a clinic to function. We spend the morning checking the handwritten schedule and making sure everything is in its right place. The bus stop outside is always busy, and you can hear the conductors calling out the different routes if the window is left open. It’s a very local feel here. We know the shopkeepers nearby and often see the same people walking past every week. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood where people come to get things looked at.
