Aj Hospital

Aj Hospital is located right on the Kuntikana NH-66 stretch in Mangalore. Being right on the highway means we see a lot of different things. It is a big building and it’s always buzzing with activity. You have the sound of the traffic from the NH-66 mixing with the sounds of a busy hospital. We have a lot of departments here, so there are doctors and patients moving in every direction. The lobby is quite large and there is usually a line at the reception desk. Mangalore is humid, so we really rely on the ventilation system to keep things comfortable inside. We have many beds and the emergency room stays pretty active given our location near the main road. It’s a lot of work keeping a place this size running. The cleaners are always moving around with their buckets and the cafeteria smells like coffee and steamed rice most of the day. We are a major part of the healthcare scene here in Karnataka, but at the end of the day, it’s just about the individuals who come in for help. It’s a busy life for the staff here. We don't have much time for sitting around. People come from all over the district because they know we are right here on the highway. It’s a practical, hardworking hospital that doesn't stop for much of anything. We just keep going, shift after shift, every single day of the year.
