About Sonia Clinic – Medical & Healthcare in Mangalore
We are over at 24 Ananthnagar. It’s a decent neighborhood to have a clinic in. Most of the houses around here are older, and the families have been here for generations. Our building is nothing special to look at, just a plain front with a door that sticks a bit in the rainy season. Inside, the waiting room has a few old magazines and some chairs that aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. I usually start the day by sweeping out the dust that blows in from the street. Ananthnagar can get quite dusty when the wind picks up. We see all sorts of people, from young kids to the elderly folks who live just down the road. It’s a steady stream of people most days. I try to keep the records straight in my big ledger, though my handwriting isn't the best. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to ask for directions or to use the phone. It feels like a very normal part of the street. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the essentials for a basic clinic. The walls are a light blue color that’s supposed to be calming, but mostly it just looks like a clinic wall. We stay open until the sun goes down and the streetlights come on. It’s a simple routine and it suits us just fine. There’s always someone coming or going, keeping the place from feeling too quiet or empty.
