Planet Cafe

If you are around Manipal, you might have seen us at Premier Court on Blue Waters Road. We are located right by End Point Cross, which is a spot a lot of people know if they’ve spent any time in this part of Udupi. Being in a university town like Manipal means we see a lot of students and young people. The atmosphere is usually pretty laid back, but we stay busy enough keeping the cafe running. We spend a lot of time just making coffee and getting snacks ready. It’s not complicated, but it keeps us on our feet all day. The weather here can be quite rainy, especially during the monsoon, and we spend a lot of time mopping up footprints from the floor. Premier Court is a good building to be in, and we’ve made our little corner of it as comfortable as a regular cafe can be. We don’t use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just open up in the morning, check the equipment, and wait for the first person to walk in. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking, and other days we can barely keep up with the rush. It’s just the way it goes. We like being near End Point Cross because it’s a nice part of town. We just focus on the daily tasks and try to keep things simple. It’s just a cafe where we do our best.
