Mit Manipal College

This college is located in the middle of Manipal in Udupi. It’s a very busy area with students from all over the place walking around at all hours. Our building is a bit older than some of the newer ones nearby. You can see the stains on the walls from the heavy Karnataka rains. Inside, the hallways are always full of noise when classes are changing. We have a lot of rooms and some of them have better furniture than others. The air is usually pretty humid, so we keep the windows open. You can hear the traffic and the sounds of the local shops from the classrooms. Most of us who work here spend our time in the staff room grading papers or planning for the next semester. It’s not a fancy place with lots of decorations. We have some posters about exams and a few notice boards with old announcements pinned on them. The canteen is small, so most people go out to the local tea stalls. It’s a lot of work keeping things running with so many students coming and going. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit for the generator to kick in. It’s just a normal college life here, nothing special or polished. We focus on getting the syllabus finished and making sure the exams happen on time. It's a crowded, busy place but it has its own rhythm.
