Over here at Kiniyas Foods, things are usually moving pretty fast. We’re located right on the Udupi Manipal Road, not too far from Sharada Kalyana Mandapam. It’s a good spot because people are always passing through. We handle a lot of food products, so there is always the smell of something being packed or prepared in the back. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance for a minute, but we get them moved quickly. Our team is small, mostly locals who have been around for years. We don’t really do anything flashy. It’s just about getting the orders right and making sure the food is fresh when it goes out. You can find us at the facility in Kardyal most mornings before the sun gets too hot. Dealing with ingredients and supplies means we have to stay on our toes. There’s always a list of things to check. Some days the machines act up or a shipment is late, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We try to keep things simple and focus on the work right in front of us. If you walk by, you’ll probably hear the hum of the fans and see us moving boxes around. It’s a busy life, but we like being part of the food scene here. It feels good knowing our stuff ends up on people’s tables nearby and further down the road too.
