Canaralighting Industries Pvt Ltd is out on the road that connects Mulky and the Kinnigoli Airport. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, but being on the Airport Road makes it easy to find. The surroundings are still quite green, which is a nice change from the more crowded parts of the district. The building is right on the side of the road, and you can hear the cars and the occasional plane passing by throughout the day. We have a decent amount of space here for our lighting work and all the components we need to keep on hand. The sun can be quite strong in this part of the country, so the building gets warm by the afternoon if we don’t keep the fans going at full speed. We have a small crew and most of us have been here for a long time, so we know how everything works. The office part is just a few desks shoved into the front section where the light is better. There are boxes stacked in the corners and some prototypes sitting out on the benches. It’s a working industrial site, so things aren't always perfectly tidy, but we know where everything is. Most of the staff live in the nearby villages and commute by bus or bike. It’s a quiet routine for the most part, just steady work under the lights every day.
