Bawa Fishmeal & Oil Co.

Our office is tucked away in the Tata Coffee Building on South Wharf Street. It is P. B. No. 235 if you are looking for where the mail goes. Being down by the wharf means we are right in the middle of all the action with the fishmeal and oil. The smell of the sea is always around this part of town. It is not the quietest place to work, especially when the big ships are loading, but Bawa Fishmeal & Oil Co. has been operating from this spot for quite some time. We handle a lot of the processing details right here. It is a lot of ledger books and coordinating with the suppliers down at the docks. The building itself is quite old and has that specific South Wharf feel to it. We are not a big corporation with shiny floors; it is more about the actual work getting done. Sometimes the equipment needs a bit of tinkering to stay running right. We spend most of our time making sure the quality of the oil is where it needs to be before it goes out. It can get messy, but that is just part of the trade. If you stop by, you will probably see us checking the barrels or talking to the truck drivers. We do not spend much on fancy furniture because the work happens on the floor and at the loading bays. It is a busy life, but we like being near the water.
