Sukumar Soft Drinks

At Sukumar Soft Drinks, we are located at Plot Number 205 in the Hebbal Industrial Area, right by the Belavadi Post. Working in an industrial zone means there is always noise and trucks moving around. Our place is basically a large hall with machines for carbonation and bottling. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We deal with various flavors and sugar mixes all day long. The floor is usually a bit sticky, no matter how much we wash it down. We have a small crew of workers from the nearby area. We all just put our heads down and get the crates filled. Sometimes a machine acts up and we have to spend half the afternoon with a wrench fixing it. We don't have a marketing department. We just make the soft drinks and wait for the distributors to pick them up. It gets quite warm inside the shed during the summer months, so we keep the fans running high. We've been at this plot for quite a few years now. Most of our neighbors are other factories making different things. We don't do anything fancy, just standard drinks that people like to have with their lunch. It’s a steady rhythm of filling, capping, and loading. That’s our daily life here in Hebbal, just keeping the production line moving along until the last truck leaves the gate.
