Sri Durga Distributers

Down on Mysore Road in Channapattana, you will find Sri Durga Distributers at number 32/177. It’s right on the main stretch, so we get to see all the traffic heading out towards the city. The noise of the buses and lorries is something you just get used to after a while. We spend most of our mornings unloading deliveries that come in overnight. It’s physical work, and by noon, everyone is usually pretty tired and looking for a bit of shade. Our warehouse isn't the most organized place in the world, but we know exactly where everything is kept. If you asked me for a specific batch, I could probably find it in five minutes, even if it looks like a mess to an outsider. We don’t have any fancy software to track every single movement; we mostly rely on our memory and some basic logs in a thick book. People in Channapattana know us as the place that’s always open when they need something moved or delivered. We’ve had the same group of guys working here for years, and we’re more like a small family than a group of coworkers. We eat our lunch together in the back office, usually talking about the local news or how the weather is affecting the roads. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s honest work that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We just try to keep the trucks moving and the customers happy.
