You can find us right on B.M. Road in the Santhepet area. Being near the ICICI Bank helps people find the shop without much trouble. We deal in various goods, mostly things that come in heavy jute bags. It’s a lot of weighing, recording numbers, and moving stock from the trucks to the back room. The street outside is always noisy with horns and people shouting, which is just how life is in this part of town. Our floor is concrete and always looks a bit grey from the dust. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations, just some old shelves and a sturdy counter. Sometimes the ledger gets a bit disorganized, but we figure it out in the end. We’ve been working out of this spot for years, watching the shops around us change while we mostly stay the same. It’s a lot of handshakes and talking to regular customers who have been coming to us since they were young. The tea stall nearby does a good business because we're always sending someone over for a cup. It’s just a regular trading business, nothing more, nothing less. We open early when the market starts getting lively and head home once the shutters on the bank go down. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit and makes a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving during the hot afternoons. It’s just how things are here.
