Our office is in Malavalli, which is part of the Mandya district. We are at Mahadeshwara Nilaya, located on Gowda-yanna Bidhi. Specifically, it’s the 6th cross. It is more of a house that we use for the business, which makes it feel a bit more comfortable than a cold office building. The street is a typical local road with houses and small shops nearby. Being in Mandya, the weather gets quite warm, so we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through the 6th cross. We’ve been running the chit fund from this spot for a while. Usually, people from the neighborhood just walk over when it’s time for the monthly meetings. We have a big table where we sit and go over the numbers with everyone. It can get a bit loud when several people are talking at once, but that’s just how it goes here. There’s always someone coming by to ask questions or just to say hello. We don’t have a fancy website or anything like that; we mostly just talk to people face to face. The walls have a few calendars on them and some photos from local festivals. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we like the fact that we know almost everyone who walks through the door. It’s just a steady, everyday kind of place where the work gets done without any unnecessary drama or complicated systems.
