Padma Coffee Work

The shop is right here at 18/176 on the Main Road in Melukote. It is not a very big place but we get the job done every day starting quite early in the morning. Most of the time, the air around the door smells like roasted beans because that is what we do here. It is a bit noisy sometimes when the grinders are running and we have to talk louder to hear each other. We have some old wooden counters and the floor has seen better days, but it is a real place where people come to get their coffee supplies. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how the machines work. People from the neighborhood stop by to chat while they wait for their bags to be filled. Melukote is a quiet town mostly, but this section of the Main Road stays busy with folks passing through. We try to keep the bags stacked neatly but they often end up in piles when we are busy. The sun hits the front window in the afternoon and makes it pretty warm inside, so we keep the back door open for a breeze. It’s just how we run things in this little corner of the street.
