You can find Mahadev Super Market at number 662 in Br Mohalla. Nanjangud is a busy place, and our street is no different from the rest. We started this market because there was a need for a place that actually had things in stock when people in the neighborhood wanted them. It's a bit of a tight squeeze inside sometimes when the new shipments of goods come in. We have bags of grains and pulses stacked up near the entrance quite often. The floor is made of old stone, so it stays a bit cooler inside even when it’s very hot outside. We’ve got local kids coming in for snacks after school and their parents coming in later for their daily dinner supplies. I spend a lot of my time standing behind the counter or moving things from the dark back room to the front shelves. It’s hard on the feet, but you get used to it after a few months. The lights flicker a bit when the power fluctuates, which happens more than we’d like in this part of Nanjangud. We don't have fancy scanners or a big team of people in uniforms. It’s mostly family helping out when things get really busy on the weekends. We try to keep things organized, but on a busy Tuesday morning, it can get a little messy with all the empty boxes lying around. People here know us by name, and we know theirs too.
