Our office is located at No 68 Sap in the Goravanahalli Hosa Badavane area. It is right opposite the Maddur Kreeda Balaga near the TB Circle. If you know Maddur well, you probably pass by us quite often. Maddur Sheep And Goat Farmers Producer Company Limited was set up so that local farmers could work together. We deal with sheep and goats mostly. A lot of the guys who belong to the company are out in the fields every day with their animals. We use the office space for our meetings and to keep our records straight. It is a practical setup and not very large. You will usually find someone here during the day but we are often out talking to the farmers or checking on the livestock. The area around TB Circle is always humming with people and vehicles. We started this because it made sense for the sheep and goat owners in the region to have a central point. There are a lot of small farmers around here who have been doing this for generations. We talk about fodder, prices, and how the animals are doing. It is not always easy work and some seasons are harder than others with the rain or the heat. We just keep at it day by day. Everyone knows everyone else in this group so it feels like a community thing. We are just regular people making a living with our livestock.
