Kaveri Coffee Works

We are out in Balamavatti Village at Plot No.21/536, right near the Napoklu Post Office. This is in the Madikeri Taluka part of Kodagu District, along the Bhagamandala Road. We are mostly a processing unit for coffee beans rather than a shop where people come to sit and drink. The work involves a lot of sorting and drying and grinding. The machinery we use is quite old and we have to maintain it ourselves. The whole area around the village is beautiful but the work we do is quite dusty and loud. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for years. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. If you come by, you will likely see us in our work clothes covered in coffee dust. We deal with local growers and process what they bring us from their fields. The Bhagamandala Road sees a lot of traffic during certain times of the year, but we stay focused on what is happening inside the plot. 21/536 is our home and our business. It is a practical life and we don't spend time on things like marketing or polished presentations. We just focus on the beans and making sure the machines don't break down when we need them most. It’s a quiet life in the village, except for the sound of the coffee works running in the afternoon when the sun is high and the air is dry.
