This place is located over in Nehru Nagar, Halahalli, right in Mandya. We are an ITI, so it's a bit different from a regular school. We deal more with tools and practical stuff that people need for jobs. It’s not always the cleanest environment because of all the hands-on work, but that’s expected in a workshop setting. The students come here to learn trades and get some real skills they can use. We have various departments and some old machinery that still works fine if you know how to handle it. The instructors are practical people who have been doing this for years. They don't use big words, they just show you how to fix things or run the equipment. Mandya can be busy, and our street gets its fair share of noise. We don't have a big front office or anything fancy. Usually, you’ll find someone in the workshop or sitting at a wooden desk with a ledger. It’s about the work here. Getting the students ready for the real world is what occupies most of our time. Sometimes we run out of materials or a machine breaks down, and we just have to figure it out ourselves without calling in experts. It’s a very grounded kind of place. People come here to learn a trade and then they move on to start their careers. We just keep the doors open and the tools ready for the next batch of students who want to learn.
