A R Rice Industries

We are located over at 584/794/4 in Gargeshwari, which is part of the Nanjangud area. A R Rice Industries is the name we use, but it’s really just a group of us working in a big shed. The location is good for the local farmers around Nanjangud to reach us easily. We spend our days surrounded by piles of rice and the sound of the mill running. It’s a bit noisy, so we’ve all gotten used to talking a bit louder than most people. We don't have any professional writers here to make us sound like some big international corporation. We're just a local mill. The floors are usually covered in a bit of chaff, and there's always a truck backing in or pulling out. We work with the seasons. When the harvest is in, we’re here from dawn until late at night. When things are slow, we spend our time fixing the equipment and cleaning up the yard. It’s a simple life, really. We don’t have a mission statement or a bunch of goals written on the wall. We just want to get the work done and make sure the bags are weighed correctly. Most of our neighbors in Gargeshwari know what we do. We’ve been at this for a while, and we plan to stay right here. It’s honest work that keeps us busy and connected to the land around us. It's not a lot of fun writing these things, but it's part of the job.
