If you are looking for Sanghvi Cement, we are tucked away right behind the Sahara Guest House over in Lakda Bazar. It is not some fancy corporate office with glass walls, just a regular place where we keep the stock and handle the daily paperwork. Most days are pretty much the same around here. We usually start things quite early when the trucks pull in and the dust begins to settle on the old wooden desks. The Lakda Bazar area gets very crowded with traffic, so getting the bags moved in and out takes a lot of patience and some shouting. It is physical work, lifting and shifting, but we have been doing it for a long time now. People mostly come by because they know exactly where we are, not because we have any big shiny signs. It gets really hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the front of the shop directly. We usually sit down for some tea around four when the rush dies down for a minute. The guest house next door always has travelers coming and going, so there is always some noise or someone asking us for directions to the main road. We just try to get the orders sorted and make sure the loading happens on time for the local builders. It is just a small team of us here doing the basic stuff every day. Nothing too complicated about it, just cement, sweat, and hard work.
