About Tourist Cottage Mandu – Tourism in Mandu Dhaar
Located on Rupmati Road, our cottage is part of the state tourism setup here in Mandu. It’s a very quiet part of the world, especially once the sun goes down and the day trippers head home. We don’t have much in the way of big city comforts, but the air is clear. The building is older and has that solid feel to it. We spend a lot of time keeping the dust off the furniture because the wind carries a lot of it from the old ruins nearby. The staff knows all the stories about the palaces around here, though they might tell them a bit differently depending on who you ask. We see a lot of people who just want to walk around the hills and see the history. Our kitchen isn't big, but we make sure there’s always hot tea and some basic meals ready. The garden out front is where we spend most of our time when there aren't many guests. We have some plastic chairs out there for people to sit and watch the birds. It’s a simple operation, really. We follow the government rules for the paperwork, so checking in takes a few minutes while we write everything down in the registers. It’s a slow pace of life, and we don’t try to change that for anyone. We just take things as they come and hope the visitors enjoy the peace of the hills.
