About Shree J K Public School – Education in Mandsaur
Sitting here in Sitamau, which is part of the Mandsaur district, we’ve got a fairly simple setup. Shree J K Public School is just a local building where the neighborhood kids come to spend their day. The road outside can get a bit muddy when the rains come, so we’re always telling the students to wipe their feet before they come inside. The classrooms are basic with wooden desks and big windows. We don't have air conditioning, so we rely on the ceiling fans which hum all day long. In the mornings, there’s a bit of a rush as everyone tries to get to their seats before the first bell. You can hear the voices from the other classes through the walls, but you get used to it after a while. We spend a lot of time on the basics, just reading and writing and making sure the kids understand their math. The playground is mostly just flat ground where they play cricket or tag during the lunch break. It’s a lot of dust and noise, but that’s how schools are. We have a small office near the front where we keep all the records in big steel cupboards. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to keep going with the windows wide open. It’s a very normal, local school life for everyone involved. We just show up, do the work, and go home when the sun starts to go down. It's nothing special but it's ours.
