Our work happens within the Mandsaur Institute of Pharmacy, right on Rewas Dewara Road. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you’re coming from the center of town, but the road is usually quiet enough. The office is basically a room filled with tall stacks of journals and old research papers that have been sitting there for years. We spend a lot of our time reading through submissions and checking references on a screen that’s probably seen better days. It’s not the most exciting environment if you like a lot of action, but it suits us fine. There’s a specific smell of old paper and ink that hangs in the air. We share the space with a few desks and a very old filing cabinet that squeaks every time you open it. Sometimes the students from the institute wander by, looking for a particular volume or asking a question about a publication. We don't have a big marketing department or anything; it’s just a few of us making sure the archives are kept in some kind of order. In the winter, the room gets quite chilly, so we usually have a heater tucked under one of the desks. It’s a quiet life of academic record-keeping and sorting through data. We just keep our heads down and get the next issue ready when the time comes.
