Gouri And Seema

We are over at 76 Agrasen Nagar. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads. Gouri and I have been working out of this space for a while now. The building is older, but it feels like home to us. We have a few sewing machines and a large cutting table that takes up most of the middle room. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to say hello or ask for a quick favor. We try to keep things organized, but when we have a lot of orders, there are threads and fabric pieces everywhere on the floor. It’s just the two of us mostly, handling everything from picking out the materials to packing the bags. We don’t have a big sign outside, so you have to know where number 76 is. The morning sun comes through the front window and hits the table, which is nice for seeing the colors clearly. We spend a lot of time arguing over which thread matches best or where to put the new stock. It’s a small business, and we do everything ourselves. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. We just rely on people telling their friends about us. Most of our days are spent drinking tea and working through the afternoon. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and get the sewing done.
