Baba Cold Drinks

Being right near the bus stand on Azad Marg in Manavar means things are usually moving. Baba Cold Drinks is just a small place, but we see a lot of faces throughout the day. People getting off the buses are usually tired and looking for a drink to cool down. We spend most of our time opening bottles and handing out change. It gets quite loud with the buses pulling in and out all the time, but you get used to the noise after a while. Manavar is a busy spot, and being on Azad Marg puts us right in the middle of it. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us making sure the coolers are full. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to worry about the drinks staying cold, but we manage. The floor needs sweeping a lot because of all the dust from the street. We keep a few stools out for people to sit for a minute before they catch their next ride. It is a simple life here. We start early in the morning before the first bus arrives and we stay open until the last ones are gone. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are because of the location near the stand. It is a straightforward business and we just focus on getting through the daily rush of travelers passing through the town.
