Mekalsuta College

Our college, Mekalsuta College, is right near the main bus stand in Shiksha Nagar over in Dindori. Since we are so close to the bus stand, it makes it a lot easier for the students coming in from the smaller villages nearby. You can see them walking up the road every morning when the first buses arrive from across Madhya Pradesh. We have a few different buildings here for the classes. It is a bit of a walk between some of them, but the students don't seem to mind much. I work in the office mostly, handling the paperwork and answering the phone when it actually rings. It gets pretty busy during admission time, and the hallways are usually full of teenagers talking loudly. We have a library too, though it’s not the biggest one you’ve ever seen. It’s a practical place for people who want to get their degrees without having to move all the way to a big city like Jabalpur. The tea stall right outside the gate is where most people end up after their lectures are done for the day. We have been here in Shiksha Nagar for some years now and everyone in Dindori knows where to find us. It’s a straightforward college life here, nothing too fancy or over the top, just classes and exams. The building is painted a light color that gets a bit faded in the sun.
