Bricks Factory

The Bricks Factory is located in Village Tikarwara, right near the Govt School. If you are in the Mandla area, you’ll find that Tikarwara is a fairly quiet place, except for when the kids are at school and playing outside during their break. Our factory is pretty simple. We take the local earth and turn it into bricks. It’s a process that hasn’t changed much over the years. We have some sheds and a big open area where the bricks are laid out to dry in the sun. Being near the school means we have to be careful with the trucks coming in and out of the village, but it’s a nice enough spot to work. The Mandla district has its own pace, and we definitely follow that. Things don’t happen fast here, but they do happen. We don’t have any marketing people or a sales team. It’s just us, the workers, and the bricks. Most of the people who work here are from around the village, so everyone knows each other. You can find us easily by looking for the Govt School in Tikarwara. We are right there nearby. The Bricks Factory is just a part of the local landscape now. It’s dusty and it’s hard work, especially during the summer months when the ground is dry, but we just keep at it. It’s a basic life, making bricks for the local community and watching the weather.
